All buildings are thatched roofs, tented walls and have wooden floors. Each of the eight tents have an open deck with plunge pool, air conditioning (hot & cold), fire place, large oval bath and outdoor shower.

Bush Lodge Schedule

• Check-in time is between 12h00 and 13h00
• Lunch is at 14h00
• Afternoon Game Drive departs at 15h00, if guests arrive later than 14h00 they will miss this game drive.
• Dinner is at 19h30-20h00

Conservation Levy

Amakhala Game Reserve continues to provide an excellent example of how communities can convert agricultural land for conservation purposes while promoting a viable tourism economy. Protecting the rhinos is a key factor in the ongoing success and sustainability of this initiative.

For bookings with check-in dates before 1 September 2025:

Adults: R210 per person, per night

For bookings with check-in dates from 1 September 2025 to 28 February 2026:
Adults: R275 per person, per night

The Conservation and Community Development Levy will primarily fund the anti-poaching units and a dedicated rhino monitoring program to preserve and protect the rhinos of Amakhala Game Reserve.

All levies will be collected by the Amakhala Foundation, a registered Public Benefit Organization, PBO no. 930039115
